Myös Elizabethin porukka on ollut aktiivinen. He ovat viettäneet viikon Olokuronon kylässä opettaen koulutyttöjä, heidän vanhempia sekä kylän ja kirkon johtajia. Rahaliikenne Keniaan on ikävästi takkuillut, mutta Elizabeth oli sitä mieltä, että työ todellakin jatkuu vaikka rahaa ei olisikaan. Itse kyllä arvelen, että työnteko on helpompaa kun käytössä on paikallista valuuttaa. Selvittelen tällä hetkellä pankin avulla mihin Kenyaan lähetetyt rahat ovat jääneet. Tässä kuitenkin nyt kuvakooste ja yhteenveto siitä mitä ovat viime aikoina touhunneet. Kuvat on harmillisen pieniä, koska ovat lähetetty kännykällä facebookiin, sillä tietokone mitä Elizabeth yleensä on saanut käyttää oli epäkunnossa.
These are school girls from Olokurono. We made an arrange with teachers of Olokurnono primary school and we stayed in that school for one week teachings girls and their parents because in that village people are still following their cultures and many girls are dropping out of school to get married. Also the chief of the area was listening and even church leaders were there. We went with a vehicle with the money that was left. My friends from that area also attended to help us. The listeners were very happy and people promise us to change from that bad cultures but we will visit the area again to see if they have changed.
Now the schools of Kenya are closed and children have gone for their holiday so we will visit churches and villages home to home.
